Lewis-McChord Communities residents have several options for requesting repair work for their home.

Please be sure to list your name, quarters number and contact phone
number along with a detailed description of repairs.
For after hours emergencies, please call (253) 912-3500,
then press '0'. The answering service will page our Service Tech with
the emergency information. Please remember the relay will take a few minutes.
In case of fire, call 911.
Lewis-McChord Communities will perform work requests for malfunctioning
furnished appliances, plumbing repairs, extermination, central heating
or cooling and other major repairs to the home.
However, you are expected to perform repairs to any fencing
or pet houses you install, as well as minor and routine repairs in your
home. These items may include, but are not be limited to:
Refasten coat hooks, clothes poles, and closet shelves.
Tighten/replace builder's hardware.
Replace doorstops.
Replace curtain rod and accessories.
Replace/adjust kitchen and bathroom hardware (towel holders, soap dishes).
Adjust drawers (sand or lubricate sticking edges).
Patch small holes in wallboard or plaster.
Spot painting. Contact Lewis-McChord Communities for paint specifications.
Reset tripped circuit breakers. If the breaker continually trips, call
Lewis-McChord Communities Maintenance.
Replace cracked/broken switch plates.
Replace ceiling fixture bulbs.
Shut off critical valves, in an emergency.
Correct running toilet (flush ball, float ball) if possible. Call Lewis-McChord Communities for help if minor adjustment does not correct the problem.
Adjust water level in toilet tank.
Clean faucet aerator.
Identify and immediately report suspected gas leaks.
Remove radiator covers to clean convectors.
Install/replace supplemental weather stripping.
Clean filters in kitchen exhaust.
Replace light bulbs in appliances.
Keep all food areas clean.
Test smoke detectors monthly.
Ensure fireplace and barbecue ashes are completely extinguished and cool
before disposal.
Barbecues must be kept a safe distance from siding and overhangs.
Properly store flammable materials.
Residents must keep and preserve in good condition
any grass, shrubs, trees, plant beds, paved areas, streets, sidewalks,
and street gutters within their logical yard limits.
Residents are required to maintain a 75-foot perimeter from their home
unless there is a barrier such as wood line or hedgerows.
For homes with a detached storage building or garage, resident is to maintain
a 75-foot perimeter from storage unit.
Lawns are to be kept free of trash, leaves, unused toys, pet excrement,
cans, litter, oil spillage, grass clippings and shrub trimmings.
